ROLE OVERVIEW

Birla Open Minds International School, Chennai is looking for a proactive HR Executive to manage end to end HR operations for K12 school. The ideal candidate will have experience as school HR and will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, payroll coordination, compliance, and creating a positive work culture aligned with Birla values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

- Endtoend hiring for Teaching, Academic, and NonTeaching staff
- Coordinate with Centre Head/Academic Team for manpower planning
- Conduct interviews, background checks, offer letters, and smooth onboarding

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

- Be the first point of contact for all staff queries and grievances
- Plan and execute staff engagement activities, celebrations, and welfare programs
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional work workplace

3. Payroll, Compliance & Records

- Coordinate with central HR/payroll team for salary, attendance, and benefits
- Maintain personnel files, contracts, leave records,



and HRMS data
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, POCSO, and school policies

4. Training & Policy Implementation

- Support induction programs for new joinees
- Roll out HR policies, code of conduct, and Birla Group values
- Assist in performance appraisal and feedback process

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Education: Any Graduate with MBA HR / MSW / PG in HR.

Experience: 3-6 Years in HR role within a CBSE/IB/International School preferred

Skills Required:

Strong communication & interpersonal skills

Knowledge of school HR processes, teacher recruitment, and compliance

Proficiency in MS Office, HRMS, and payroll tools

Empathetic, organized, and discreet with confidential information
