The Draftswoman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and detailed plans for construction projects using CAD software. She works closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to convert conceptual designs into exact working drawings while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed architectural, structural, and working drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Convert sketches, concepts, and hand-drawn plans into accurate CAD drawings.
- Modify drawings as per client, architect, or engineer instructions.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and detailed construction drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and site teams to incorporate revisions.
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control.
- Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, project specifications, and company standards.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and revision drawings as required.
- Review drawings for dimensional accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Assist in quantity estimation and material take-offs from drawings when required.
- Maintain digital records and backups of all project drawings.
- Support the design team in preparing presentation layouts and documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software is preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of drafting experience in construction, architecture,



or engineering projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, and institutional projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of AutoCAD 3D is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and detailing.
- Knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
- Basic understanding of municipal bye-laws and building regulations.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
