Job Description – Billing Engineer (Real Estate)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Engineer to manage client billing, contractor billing, quantity verification, and work certification for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of BOQs, measurements, billing procedures, contract terms, and coordination with site execution, QS, and accounts teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Measurement

- Prepare and process contractor RA bills and final bills.
- Prepare client bills as per contract terms and project milestones.
- Verify work measurements at site before processing bills.
- Ensure billing accuracy in accordance with BOQs, work orders, and approved drawings.
- Reconcile billed quantities with executed work.

Quantity Verification

- Take off quantities from drawings and verify executed quantities.
- Coordinate with site engineers to validate measurements.
- Prepare quantity reconciliation statements.
- Monitor material consumption and work progress against BOQs.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain billing records, measurement books (MB), and supporting documents.




- Prepare weekly and monthly billing reports and MIS.
- Track bill status, certifications, and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and project records.

Coordination

- Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Accounts teams.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients regarding billing-related issues.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and support commercial documentation.

Contract & Commercial Support

- Ensure compliance with contractual billing terms.
- Assist in variation orders, extra item billing, and rate analysis.
- Support commercial closure and final account settlements.
- Participate in cost monitoring and project cash flow planning.
