ABOUT THE ROLE

The Transport and Logistics Manager at SU Square Hire Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a pivotal leadership role responsible for coordinating the end-to-end supply chain. The incumbent will oversee the secure, cost-effective, and timely movement of cargo, manage vehicle fleets, negotiate with carriers, and ensure strict compliance with transport regulations. This position demands strategic vision, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder management skills.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transportation & Cargo Operations

- Route Optimization: Plan and implement efficient delivery routes to reduce transit time and operational costs.
- Fleet Management: Oversee day-to-day fleet operations including vehicle allocation, scheduling, and utilization tracking.
- Fleet Management & Maintenance: Ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance of all vehicles to minimize downtime.
- Managing Fleet Drivers & Fuel: Supervise driver schedules, conduct performance checks, and manage fuel consumption efficiently.
- Vendor & Carrier Relations: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
- Cost Optimisation: Analyze operational data to identify areas for cost reduction without compromising service quality.

2. Sales & Marketing

- Client Order Management:



Coordinate with clients to manage order intake, fulfilment, and timely delivery.
- Profitability: Monitor margins on logistics operations and develop strategies to improve revenue per shipment.
- CRM: Maintain and grow client relationships using CRM tools; address escalations and enhance client satisfaction.
- Revenue Growth: Identify new business opportunities, expand service offerings, and contribute to overall revenue targets.

3. Leadership & Team Management

- Staff Supervision: Lead, guide, and motivate the logistics and transport team to achieve operational goals.
- Performance Evaluation: Set KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement development plans for team members.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to government transport regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on fleet utilization, costs, delivery performance, and team productivity.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in transport operations, logistics, or fleet management.
- Proven track record in managing multi-modal transport operations and cross-functional teams.




- Prior experience in a client-facing or sales-oriented logistics role is an added advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Proficiency with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and fleet tracking software.
- Working knowledge of GPS tracking tools and telematics platforms.
- Strong command of MS Office Suite — especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems used in logistics operations.
- Understanding of local, national, and international freight regulations and documentation.
