Job Overview:
The Storage Infrastructure Automation Engineer is a hands-on technical role focused on designing, implementing, and enhancing automation solutions across enterprise storage and cloud environments. This role combines infrastructure engineering exposure with strong automation and scripting skills to streamline operations, improve reliability, and scale storage platforms efficiently.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and API-driven automation, with a foundational understanding of SAN, NAS, and cloud storage architectures, and a strong desire to grow into a storage automation expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, alerting, and lifecycle management of storage platforms
- Drive automation of day-to-day (BAU) storage operations, including capacity management, performance monitoring, incident reduction, and service requests
- Leverage Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, and Applied AI to automate manual and repetitive operational tasks
- Integrate infrastructure components using RESTful APIs to enable end-to-end orchestration and self-service capabilities
- Support and continuously improve enterprise SAN, NAS, and cloud storage environments as part of operations
- Participate in storage infrastructure projects, migration, refresh, and decommissioning activities
- Analyze existing workflows and infrastructure to identify automation, reliability, and performance improvement opportunities
- Maintain and enhance operating system templates and contribute to deployment and configuration automation pipelines
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and capacity management to ensure operational stability and governance
- Create and maintain Dashboards for operational metrics and KPIs to support continuous service improvement.
- Participate in a Kanban delivery model, delivering enhancements and automation features through Jira stories and epics
- Provide on-call support as required for storage-related production issues
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset to reduce risk, improve resilience, and enhance overall platform reliability

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Storage and Backup infrastructure Infinidat, Pure Storage,
Dell EMC (PowerMax,ECS), NetApp.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, scripting, or software development with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
- General understanding of enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and storage networking concepts
- Willingness to learn and grow into advanced enterprise storage technologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and a part of a global team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex issues

Good to have Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise tools such as Solarwinds, Dynatrace, ServiceNow,Jira.
- Experience automating storage and data services in AWS, including EBS, EFS, S3, Glacier, Storage Gateway
- Familiarity with enterprise backup and recovery solutions such as Cohesity
- Exposure to CI/CD tooling and configuration management, including GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Atlassian tools and JSON, YAML, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation
- Experience with AWS services such as: Landing Zones (LZ), ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, ELB, RDS, CloudWatch and Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPN Gateway, PrivateLink
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Ability to understand and work across diverse storage and backup technologies
