About the Role

Maven Marketing Agency is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the finance function through accurate reporting and documentation.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial management within a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records and bookkeeping.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Prepare, file, and reconcile GST returns within prescribed timelines.
- Calculate, deduct, and file TDS returns as per statutory requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer ledger reconciliations.
- Generate invoices, payment vouchers, and maintain financial documentation.
- Handle employee reimbursements and expense management.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management review.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities during audits and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws,



and statutory regulations.
- Maintain proper records of financial and statutory documents.
- Support payroll processing and salary-related documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in Zoho Books/Zoho Accounting Software
- Strong knowledge of:
- GST (Registration, Filing, Reconciliation, and Compliance)
- TDS provisions and return filing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP
- HLOOKUP
- XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- Conditional Formatting
- Data Validation
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Finance.
- Experience with accounting software and taxation compliance is preferred.
