A Security Field Officer is responsible for managing and supervising security guards across multiple sites, ensuring safety, discipline, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision & Operations
- Monitor and manage security guards at different locations
- Prepare duty rosters, attendance, and shift schedules
- Ensure guards follow company rules and security procedures
2. Site Visits & Inspections
- Conduct regular field/site visits to client locations
- Check for:
- Security compliance
- Guard performance
- Any risks or incidents
3. Client Coordination
- Communicate with clients to:
- Solve complaints
- Maintain positive service relationships
- Ensure client satisfaction with security services
4. Training & Recruitment
- Recruit new guards locally
- Train staff on:
- Security duties
- Emergency handling
- Discipline and grooming
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain records like:
- Incident reports
- Attendance logs
- Site inspection reports
- Report issues to higher management
6. Incident Handling
- Respond to:
- Security breaches
- Emergencies
- Client complaints
- Ensure proper action and reporting
- Minimum: 10th / 12th / Degree (varies by company)
- Experience: 2–5 years in security or field operations
- Skills:
- Leadership & team handling
- Communication skills
- Problem-solving
- Physical fitness required
- Two-wheeler + license often required (for site visits)
Salary (Trivandrum Range)
- Typically: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000/month
- Can increase with experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
