Job Summary

Assessment of, consultation for, and preparation of patients for anesthesia

Clinical management of cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation.

Diagnosis and treatment of acute pain.

Evaluation of respiratory function and application of respiratory therapy

(All the above should be performed under supervision of Consultant).

Job Profile

- To take ongoing responsibility for patients under his/her care.

- To participate in the development of the anesthesia and critical care treatment protocols and guidelines.

- To develop and maintain collaborative relationships with medical colleagues in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate activities.

- To develop and maintain good communications with general practitioners and appropriate external agencies.





- To demonstrate a firm involvement in clinical governance, risk management and clinical audit – this will include the development and maintenance of appropriate systems and practices to ensure continued protected clinical practice

- To share responsibility for data protection arising out of the use of computers, and to maintain good practice in the handling of confidential information.

To be accountable for improving and complying with infection control practices.

To provide aneasthasia service to patients in OT and ward during routine and emergency hours, under supervision of Consultant Anaesthetist.

Experience

Fresher / 1 year of experience

Qualification

M.D / DNB / DA in Anaesthesia
