Senior Software Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, India

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in building and maintaining robust data solutions. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing ETL workflows using Informatica, Strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills along with DevSecOps and working with Generative AI development tools to support complex data processing needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable data pipelines that power reporting, analytics, and business operations within a reinsurance team in Hyderabad, India.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows in Informatica to load data from multiple source systems

- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages

- Analyze business and data requirements and translate them into scalable technical data solutions

- Performing data mapping, transformation logic design, and data validation to ensure high data quality

- Tune ETL jobs and database queries for performance, scalability, and reliability

- Work with large datasets related to Reinsurance

- Monitor and support ETL jobs, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data issues quickly.





- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and reporting teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions

- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control and release management

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of experience in application software solution development

- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development roles

- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for building and maintaining ETL workflows

- Advances proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning

- Expertise in complex SQL development, query optimization, and indexing strategies

- Experience with data integration across multiple source systems (databases, flat files, etc.)

- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, or similar)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work in Agile or iterative development environments

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams

Nice to Have Skills

- Experience in Reinsurance domain

- Knowledge of ProCede or Similar reinsurance administration systems

- Exposure to financial data, policy systems, or claims data

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services

- Experience leveraging AI/ML tools or automation techniques to improve data quality, streamline ETL processes, or optimize data operations

- Exposure to scripting or automation using Python, Shell, or similar tools to enhance data engineering workflows
