About us

The Warp ’n Weft is a handloom house — Banarasi weaves and handcrafted Indian

wear, rooted in craft. Every piece carries the hands that made it. We’re building a

small, sharp creative team to carry that craft into how the brand looks, speaks, and

shows up everywhere.

The role

We’re looking for a tasteful Communication Designer — someone who

genuinely understands craft, design, and brand, and who asks the right questions

before they touch the work. You’ll shape how the brand is seen across social,

ecommerce, and campaigns, and keep the creative consistent and on-brand as we

grow.

This is a build role. You won’t inherit a finished system — you’ll help create it,

starting with the brand’s visual and verbal language.

What you’ll do

- First up: absorb the brand direction and build our Brand Bible — the visual +

verbal language everything else follows.

- Design social posts, campaign visuals, ecommerce / Shopify pages, and brand

identity assets — hands-on.

- Own the Shopify storefront design — how the brand looks and shops online.




- Plan and route day-to-day execution with the content and retouch team — you

design and direct.

- Keep work organized — track your own tasks and deliverables, and keep

things moving on time.

- Hold the quality bar — everything that ships feels unmistakably us.

What we’re looking for

- 2–4 years in design for a brand, studio, or label where taste and creativity

matter.

- Taste, first and foremost — a portfolio that shows a real eye, not just clean

layouts.

- A feel for Indian craft, textiles, or handloom is a strong plus.
- Hands-on with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma; Shopify / web design

experience welcome.

- A working comfort with AI tools is a plus — AI-assisted design, image

generation, and a feel for design automation. Curious and self-starting — comfortable building in a small team, asking

questions, and owning outcomes.
