Job Description for the Position for Freight Pricing

Job Title: Freight Pricing Executive / Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager/ Manager (Experience basis)

Key Responsibilities

Freight Pricing & Rate Negotiation

· Negotiate FCL and Air Import freight rates across multiple trade lanes.

· Prepare competitive sea and air freight quotations for both spot and long-term shipments.

· Maintain and update rate sheets in coordination with carriers, NVOCCs, and overseas offices.

· Support the sales team with pricing strategies to acquire and retain clients.

· Monitor market trends and competitor pricing for strategic decision-making.

· Handle RFQs for key customers across PAN India, ensuring timely submissions.

· Manage EXW, FCA, DAP, and DDP quotation requests efficiently.

· Generate weekly and monthly MIS reports, including volume performance analysis.

· Ensure smooth transition from pricing to operations at origin and destination.

Routing & Shipment Coordination

· Convert inquiries into confirmed shipments through competitive pricing and service.

· Maintain monthly freight rate records and shipment data.

· Coordinate with origin offices for cargo readiness and shipment planning.

· Manage shipping documentation including IGM filing, CAN preparation, and DO release.

· Maintain records of SOPs, quotations, and key communications.

· Share daily/weekly shipment status reports (DSR) with consignees as required.

Overseas Coordination & Business Development

· Liaise with overseas agents to develop CIF business opportunities.





· Build strong relationships with carriers, MLOs, NVOCCs, CFS operators and Airlines Authorities.

· Resolve space and rate issues by arranging alternative booking solutions.

· Support local business development through effective coordination and networking.

Based on candidate’s experience, skill set, and last drawn salary

Experience Requirements

· 5–6 years of relevant experience (Executive/ Senior Executive)

· 8-12 years of relevant experience (Assistant Manager/ Manager)

· Should have Knowledge of import operations & logistics coordination.

Candidate Profile

· Preferred age: up to 40 years

· Proven experience in freight pricing and import operations (FCL & Air)

· Robust understanding of Incoterms and RFQ handling

· Ability to manage multiple shipments and coordinate with overseas agents

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
