About the Role
The Finance & Accounting Specialist will assume comprehensive operational ownership of day-to-day financial accounting, localized statutory compliance tracking, and month-end ledger finalization frameworks. Operating out of our core Bengaluru office, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between high-volume transactional accounting and strategic financial management. This role requires an analytical professional capable of managing accounting ledgers while maintaining zero-defect compliance execution across direct and indirect corporate tax systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Advanced Financial Accounting & Ledger Management
- End-to-End Ledger Ownership: Supervise and execute all processes related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate sub-ledger to general ledger (GL) reconciliations.
- Month-End Closure Workflows: Direct the monthly closing cycle, including processing accruals, tracking prepaid amortization, verifying depreciation matrixes, and compiling provisional financial books.
- Financial Statement Synthesis: Draft accurate monthly balance sheets, comprehensive profit & loss (P&L;) statements, and operating cash-flow variations in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Banking & Cash Management: Execute daily corporate cash-flow monitoring, manage multi-currency bank reconciliations, handle corporate credit card settlements, and oversee localized treasury tracking.
2. Statutory Compliance,
Indirect/Direct Taxation & Payroll Control

- TDS / Direct Tax Governance: Calculate, deduct, and deposit monthly Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) variables across various sections (e.g., 194C, 194J, 194I). Ensure accurate quarterly filing of TDS returns (Forms 24Q, 26Q) and timely distribution of Form 16/16A certificates.
- Audit Facilitation: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal, statutory, and tax auditors. Build clean, cross-referenced audit schedules, explicit balances, and compile technical documentation backbones.
3. Financial Analysis, Budget Tracking & Management Reporting
- Variance Analysis: Evaluate monthly operational spends against annualized budget caps. Highlight significant micro-economic variances and deliver data-driven optimization strategies to the leadership team.
- Management Dashboard Curation: Populate and maintain management information systems (MIS) reporting packs, translating complex numeric ledgers into actionable executive charts.
Job Requirements & Technical Qualifications
- Educational & Qualification Preference:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / BBA Finance).
- Strong Preference: Semi-CA / CA Inter / CA-Part Qualified candidates or candidates actively working towards completing their CA qualification.
Completing mandatory CA articleship experience is a significant advantage.
- Candidates with CMA-Inter, ACCA (Part-Qualified), or MBA Finance with solid practical tax exposure are also encouraged to apply.
- Professional Horizon: 3 to 5 years of verified, progressive corporate accounting experience, either directly inside a scaling enterprise environment or managing corporate portfolios within a recognized accounting/audit firm.
- Geographic Requirement: Absolute willingness to work full-time out of the designated Bengaluru office (Sahakar Nagar).
- Advanced Tooling Competencies:
- Spreadsheet Engineering: Mastery of Microsoft Excel (nested conditional formulas, Index-Match/XLOOKUP, pivot charts, Power Query, and financial dashboard modeling).
- ERP Systems Fluency: Hands-on proficiency with modern ERP software (e.g., Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Books).
