Job Title: Refrigeration Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems used in our seafood processing and cold storage operations. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal functioning of refrigeration equipment to maintain product integrity, food safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor ammonia based refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, cooling towers, and related controls.
- Perform routine checks, log readings (pressure, temperature, oil levels), and adjust system parameters as needed.
- Ensure all cold rooms, blast freezers, IQF tunnels, and storage units maintain the required temperature conditions for seafood preservation.
- Conduct regular inspections to detect and troubleshoot refrigeration issues, leaks, or performance inefficiencies.
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs on refrigeration equipment and components.
- Maintain daily operational records and reports related to refrigeration system performance.




- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to support operational and temperature requirements.
- Respond promptly to alarms, breakdowns, and emergency situations to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols, especially regarding handling of refrigerants and ammonia systems.
- Assist in preparing the plant for audits and inspections related to food safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications:

- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–10 years of hands-on experience in operating industrial refrigeration systems, preferably in food or seafood processing.
- Knowledge of ammonia (NH3) and cold storage equipment.
- Certification in refrigeration system operation or ammonia handling (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices in a processing facility.
- Solid attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Salary : 18000 to 28000/ month
