Job Purpose

To drive operational excellence, productivity improvement, cost optimization, and data-driven decision-making across the manufacturing site. The role will support and lead corporate cost-control initiatives, analyse operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to enhance plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Excellence

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and productivity improvement projects.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor plant KPIs and ensure achievement of operational targets.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Support standardization and process optimization across departments.
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to operational excellence.

Cost Control & Productivity Management

- Lead site-level execution of corporate cost-control initiatives.
- Track and analyse manufacturing costs, utilities consumption, and operational expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and develop action plans.
- Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.
- Drive waste reduction and resource optimization projects.
- Prepare monthly savings reports and management dashboards.

Data Analytics & MIS

- Collect, validate, and analyse operational data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.




- Analyse trends related to production, quality, maintenance, inventory, and manpower productivity.
- Support data-driven decision-making through statistical and analytical insights.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of operational databases.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Liaise with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR teams.
- Coordinate with Corporate Operations Excellence and Cost Management teams.
- Support implementation of strategic initiatives and transformation projects.
- Present performance reviews and improvement plans to leadership.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Cost savings achieved against targets.
- Productivity improvement percentage.
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement.
- Reduction in waste and operational losses.
- Timeliness and accuracy of MIS reports.
- Completion of continuous improvement projects.
- Achievement of corporate cost-control objectives.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, operational excellence, cost management, or data analytics.
- Experience in leading corporate cost-control and productivity initiatives at a manufacturing site.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros).
- Power BI / Tableau dashboard development.
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Data analysis and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and Cost Management methodologies.
