Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T;) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Design and Development of UAV Aircraft from System level
- Generate Conceptual designs and Perform validation techniques to select Best Optimal Design
- Perform Key Design reviews ( PDR & CDR) to Validate the Product at Different stages of Development
- Review of Design documents and Provide feedback/Guidance to the team
- Selection of Materials for Composite and Metallic parts
- Design of Composite parts Laminate and Sandwich (Material Selection, Basic Sizing, and Optimization)
- Engage with System Engineers and Project team and External service providers towards realizing Product development activities
- Working with Cross Functional teams to towards realizing efficient product development
- Managing group of designers, Conducting Performance review and Competency Development of the team
- Manufacturing Vendor identification and Qualification
- Perform Risk Management and Mitigation
- Performing Root Cause Analysis and Driving Continuous Improvement within the team
- Project Scheduling, Tracking and Reporting
- Develop and Standardized the processes and Practices for Product Development
- Involve Recruitment and Capacity planning





Must have skills:

- Experience in Aerospace Domain preferably exposure to New Product Development( NPD).
- Able to work in a Fast paced environment to bring Product to Market in a Short timeline.
- Strong knowledge of Aerodynamics and Behaviour of Aircraft Structure in response to Static and Dynamic Loads
- Strong knowledge of Strength of materials, Aircraft structures and Composites
- Experience in Designing Structural Components like Wing and Fuselage of Aircraft
- Expertise of CAD Tools like Catia/Solidworks and exposure to FEA tools Ansys/MSC Nastran
- Design of Composite parts using Catia CPD
- Performing Hand Calculations, Linear Static/Energetic Analysis
- Exposure to Composite Manufacturing, Material Selection and Coupon Testing
- Hands on experience of Lean Principles and Failure Mode analysis DFMEA/PFMEA
- Experience in Product development using DFM and DFA Principles
- Knowledge of AS9100 Audit requirements
- Experience in PLM/PDM Systems like Enovia and Teamcenter
- Strong Experience of ASME drafting standards and application of GD&T.;
- Good Understanding of Metallic and Composite manufacturing Processes
- Exposure to Product life cycle (PLC) of Aircraft Components
- Experience in Configuration and Change management




- Knowledge of Aircraft Certification requirements.
- Material Selection and Material Processing requirements
- Exposure to managing Component life, Repair and Maintenance
- Knowledge of Testing, Verification & Validation of Composite parts
- Experience in Project planning, Resource planning, Project Tracking and Reporting
- Experience in Value Engineering and Cost Modeling (should Costing)
- Exposure to Gated Reviews such as PDR/CDR at System and Subsystem level.
- Performing Stack-up analysis to Verify clash/Clearances at assembly level
- Exposure to Requirement Management, Change Management and Configuration Management
- Should be able to communicate with internal customers on the technical requirements, be able to discuss, participate and negotiate in finalizing technical requirements and acceptance methodologies
- Should possess good Team Management, Performance management, Coaching and mentoring skills
- Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Ability to work in challenging environment to deliver high quality results
- Decision making and problem solving skills

Good to have skills:

- Experience in Product Design of Unmanned combat aerial vehicles.
- Understanding of Aeroelasticity (Manoeuvre Loads computation, Flutter, Gust)
- Experience in component and coupon level testing
- Programming Languages MATLAB, Python/C++ for parametric analysis Design and FEA

Basic Requirement (education & relevant experience):

- B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Aeronautical) with 8+ Years’ experience or M.E/M.Tech (Mechanical/Aerospace) with 6-8 years’ experience.
