Job Summary

We are looking for an organized, enthusiastic, and student-focused Librarian to manage the school library and promote a culture of reading and lifelong learning. The ideal candidate will maintain library resources, support students and staff in accessing information, and ensure the smooth functioning of the library.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
- Organize, classify, issue, and maintain books and other learning resources.
- Maintain accurate records of library inventory, book circulation, and memberships.
- Assist students and teachers in locating and using library resources.
- Encourage reading habits through library activities, book displays, and reading programmes.
- Recommend and procure new books, journals, and digital resources.
- Ensure the library remains clean, organized,



and conducive to learning.
- Coordinate annual stock verification and maintain library records.
- Support school events and academic initiatives related to reading and research.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc.) or Master's degree in Library & Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.).
- Previous experience as a school librarian is preferred.
- Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and library management software is an advantage.
- Passion for books, reading, and supporting student learning.

Pay: ₹10,342.20 - ₹25,000.00 per month
