Position: SAP FICO Functional Manager

Job Description (JD)

Role Purpose

The SAP FICO Functional Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling (FICO) module to ensure smooth financial operations across the organization. The role involves managing financial closing activities, maintaining financial master data, ensuring statutory and tax compliance, coordinating with cross-functional teams, supporting business process automation, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate financial information for strategic decision-making. The incumbent will act as the key functional interface between the Finance Department, IT Team, SAP implementation partners, auditors, and business users.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP FICO Functional Management

- Lead and manage day-to-day SAP S/4HANA FICO functional operations.
- Configure and maintain SAP FICO modules in line with business requirements.
- Analyse business requirements and recommend SAP-based solutions.
- Coordinate with IT, SAP consultants, and business users for issue resolution and system enhancements.
- Ensure proper documentation of configurations, functional specifications, and process changes.
- Support SAP upgrades, patches, testing, and new functionality implementation.

2. Financial Closing & Accounting Support

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities in SAP.
- Ensure timely completion of accruals, provisions, depreciation, asset capitalization, foreign currency valuation, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling transactions.
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.




- Ensure adherence to financial closing timelines and accounting policies.

3. Financial Structure & Master Data Management

- Monitor Finance master data
- Review finance master data changes.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of SAP financial master data.

4. SAP Integration & Business Process Support

- Coordinate integration between SAP FICO and MM, SD, PP, PM, HR, Payroll, Treasury, POS, and other modules.
- Evaluate financial impact of process changes across integrated modules.
- Monitor interface failures and coordinate timely resolution.
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation projects.

5. Statutory Compliance & Tax Configuration

- Ensure SAP supports statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain GST, TDS, TCS, and other tax-related configurations.
- Coordinate implementation of statutory changes within SAP.
- Support statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure accurate statutory reports are generated from SAP.

6. Financial MIS & Management Reporting

- Develop and maintain finance-related MIS reports and dashboards.
- Support management reporting on profitability, working capital, cash flow, budgets, branch performance, and financial KPIs.
- Coordinate with finance teams to ensure timely availability of financial information.




- Assist management in analysing financial performance and business trends.

7. Internal Controls & Audit Support

- Strengthen SAP-based financial controls and approval workflows.
- Maintain Segregation of Duties (SoD) and authorization controls.
- Support Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, GST Audit, IFC, and other compliance reviews.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of action points.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

8. User Support & Training

- Provide functional support to Finance and Accounts users.
- Resolve SAP FICO functional issues within defined timelines.
- Prepare user manuals, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Conduct user training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Coordinate with SAP support partners for complex issue resolution.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA FICO configuration and business processes.
- Sound understanding of Financial Accounting and Controlling.
- Experience in month-end and year-end financial closing.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, TCS, and statutory accounting requirements.
- Strong understanding of finance master data governance.
- Experience in SAP integration with other business modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Qualifications

CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / B.Com with relevant experience

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
