A Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required by the company. The role focuses on obtaining quality products at the best price while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors.
2. Obtain quotations and compare prices.
3. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts.
4. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor deliveries.
5. Ensure the timely availability of materials.
6. Maintain purchase records and documentation.
7. Coordinate with stores, production, finance, and other departments.
8. Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
9. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
10.Resolve supplier-related issues and manage vendor performance.
11. Prepare procurement reports and cost-saving analyses.
Required Skills
1. Robust negotiation and communication skills.
2. Vendor management and relationship-building.
3. Knowledge of procurement processes.
4. Inventory management.
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP).
Qualification
1. Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2.MBA in Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain is preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
