Job Description

Information Protection Analyst Pan India · Full-time · Hybrid

About the Role The Information Protection Analyst will be responsible for alert triage and review, end-to-end incident response, log scanning and analytics, stakeholder coordination, and documentation. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure timely decision-making and alignment with statutory and internal standards. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to contain and eradicate incidents, strengthen playbooks and controls, and contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess data loss prevention and access violation alerts for severity, impact, and priority
- Perform initial validation, contain or escalate incidents as appropriate
- Own incidents from detection to closure from a Data & AI perspective
- Execute focused log reviews to identify indicators of unauthorized data movement or misuse
- Correlate signals across sources to surface patterns and recommend mitigations and control enhancements
- Collaborate with enterprise responders, platform owners, legal/privacy, and risk/compliance
- Maintain complete incident records, evidence, timelines, and metrics
- Contribute to reporting, trend analysis, and iterative improvement of processes, rules, and detections
- Drive containment/eradication/recovery of incidents and capture lessons learned

Requirements

- 6+ years of experience




- Ability to perform alert triage and review
- Ability to own incidents from detection to closure
- Ability to execute log scanning and analytics
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to maintain documentation and metrics

Good to Have

- Experience with ServiceNow for incident/case management, workflows, assignments, SLAs, knowledge articles, and post-incident reporting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, including DLP policies, information protection labels, insider risk alerts, and investigation workflows
- Understanding of Zscaler, including web/cloud traffic controls, policy enforcement, and log interpretation
- Exposure to SIEM/SOAR solutions, cloud logs, and endpoint telemetry
