Senior Consultant | Enterprise Technology & Performance | SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)

Your work profile

We are looking for an experienced SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) Senior Consultant with robust hands-on expertise in developing and supporting integrations across SAP and non-SAP applications. The candidate should have experience in SAP BTP Integration Suite, API Management, and end-to-end integration development, with the ability to work independently in implementation and AMS support engagements.

- Develop and support integrations between SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) and cloud applications such as Salesforce, SAP Fiori Cloud, and other enterprise systems.

- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP CPI Integration Flows (iFlows) based on functional and technical requirements.

- Prepare technical/interface specifications, API documentation, and integration design documents.

- Configure SAP Cloud Connector for secure connectivity between SAP BTP and on-premise applications.

- Develop integrations using various SAP CPI adapters including OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, SFTP, FTP, JDBC, HTTP, Process Direct, AMQP, and XI Proxy.

- Implement message transformations, routing, aggregation, enrichment, splitting, and other enterprise integration patterns.

- Perform data transformation and mapping using XML, JSON, CSV, XSD, XSLT, Message Mapping, and User Defined Functions (UDFs).

- Develop custom Groovy and Java scripts to support complex integration scenarios.

- Configure and manage SAP API Management (API Portal, Business Hub, Open Connectors) for exposing and consuming SAP S/4HANA APIs.

- Create and manage API application keys and API security configurations.

- Configure SAP S/4HANA APIs (REST, SOAP, OData) and integrate them through API Management.

- Implement exception handling, error notifications, retry mechanisms, message persistence,



and monitoring within SAP CPI.

- Manage security artifacts, encryption, decryption, and authentication mechanisms for secure integrations.

- Support transport management of CPI and API Management artifacts across landscapes using CTS+ or SAP Transport Management Service (TMS).

- Provide production support, troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.

- Collaborate with functional, technical, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.

Key skills required

- 5+ years of overall SAP integration experience with strong focus on SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).

- Hands-on experience in SAP BTP Integration Suite – Cloud Integration.

- Strong experience with SAP API Management, API Portal, Business Hub, and Open Connectors.

- Expertise in developing custom Integration Flows (iFlows) and discovering standard integration content.

- Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Connector configuration and connectivity to on-premise systems.

- Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies including SAP PI/PO, CPI, EDI, ALE/IDoc, RFC/BAPI, and API-based integrations.

- Expertise in SAP CPI adapters including OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, HTTP, JDBC, SFTP, FTP, Process Direct, AMQP, and XI Proxy.

- Experience with message mapping, XSLT, XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, and data transformation techniques.

- Strong proficiency in Groovy and Java scripting.

- Experience implementing integration patterns such as Message Transformation, Aggregator, Enricher, Splitter, and Content-Based Router.

- Good understanding of CPI exception handling, monitoring, error notifications, retry mechanisms, and message persistence.

- Experience with security artifacts, authentication, encryption, and decryption mechanisms.

- Experience in both SAP CPI development and AMS/production support engagements.

- Knowledge of transport management using CTS+ or SAP TMS.

- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA integration scenarios and hybrid cloud integration landscapes.
