The Accounts Executive will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities related to sales and purchase transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting GST compliance, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely processing of accounting entries.
Key Responsibilities
* Record and maintain sales and purchase entries in the accounting system.
* Prepare and verify sales invoices, purchase invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
* Ensure timely posting of accounting vouchers and journal entries.
* Verify purchase bills against Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
* Reconcile vendor and customer accounts on a regular basis.
* Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
* Assist in GST data preparation and reconciliation.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports as required.
* Coordinate with the Sales, Purchase, Stores, and Logistics teams for invoice-related queries.
* Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and statutory requirements.
* Perform any other accounting-related tasks assigned by the Accounts Manager or Finance Head.
Required Skills
* Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
* Knowledge of GST and taxation (preferred).
* Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel.
* Familiarity with Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
