Job Summary:
The PLC Programmer will develop, implement, and maintain automated control systems for industrial processes, working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA software, requiring robust programming skills, electrical knowledge, and on-site commissioning support for various manufacturing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Programming: Develop and modify PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Function Block, or Structured Text for platforms like Siemens (TIA Portal), ABB, schneider electric.
HMI/SCADA Development: Design and configure user-friendly Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
System Integration: Integrate PLCs with VFDs, third party PLC, sensors, and other field devices.
Electrical Troubleshooting: Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and panel layouts; assist with panel testing and field wiring verification.
Commissioning & Testing: Participate in site installation, I/O checks, system testing, and commissioning activities.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve automation issues, system faults, and communication errors in the field.
Documentation: Maintain program backups, create documentation, and follow engineering best practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one major PLC brand (Siemens,ABB).
Experience with HMI/SCADA software (WinCC, etc.).
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profnet, Ethernet/IP, RS485).
Understanding of electrical circuits and control panel concepts.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
1-2 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation programming.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours for project support.
