Role Purpose

To manage the day-to-day operations of the Oven Magick retail store, ensuring excellent customer experience, robust sales performance, effective team leadership, and smooth inventory and store operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Customer Experience

- Drive store sales targets and KPIs (footfall conversion, average basket value, repeat customers)
- Ensure high standards of customer service across the shop floor
- Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Promote loyalty programs, promotions, and seasonal campaigns

2. Team Management

- Recruit, train, and onboard shop floor staff
- Prepare staff rosters/shift schedules
- Set individual and team performance goals; conduct regular reviews
- Foster a positive, motivated team culture

3. Inventory & Merchandising

- Manage stock levels, reordering, and stock takes to minimize shrinkage
- Ensure visual merchandising standards and planograms are followed
- Coordinate with suppliers/warehouse for timely stock replenishment
- Monitor product freshness/quality (if bakery/perishable items involved)

4. Store Operations





- Oversee daily opening/closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
- Manage cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily sales reporting
- Maintain store cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and ambience standards

5. Financial Management

- Manage store budget, control operational costs
- Track and report daily/weekly/monthly sales performance
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and improvement areas

6. Compliance & Administration

- Ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations, and audits
- Maintain accurate records (staff attendance, incident reports, stock logs)
