This role reports to the HOD - PED and plays a key role in driving process engineering activities, ensuring adherence to global standards, and supporting cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure 100% safety of operator, equipment, and organization
Core Responsibilities and Activities
- Development of new process, tooling, and equipment required for manufacturing new products with robust process controls in line with program timelines
- Responsible for conducting manufacturing feasibility assessment and providing capital requirement on new RFQs by coordinating with cross functional team and global team through MSO review
- Develop and modify line layouts, including material flow, waste reduction, and ergonomics, utilizing Lean Manufacturing best practices
- Analyze and optimize production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving world-class quality levels
- Champion continuous improvement projects to maximize yield, capacity, and capability
- Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications and standards are achieved and participate in development and maintenance of FMEAs and other process documents
Other Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues found during the manufacturing process and drive corrective actions to root cause identification and elimination
- Utilize structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W) and Eight Disciplines (8D)
- Develop and train technicians and assist in operator training as needed
- Manage activities for process technicians to support daily production line coverage, including rework procedures
- Devise ways to improve competency of team members through training and job allocation
- Identify local vendors and evaluate their capabilities for cost-effective project localization
Role Requirements
Functional Competencies
- PFMEA, PFD, CP, SWI, IATF audit requirement
- Knowledge on jigs and fixture design with GD&T;
- Experience in AutoCAD and any 3D design software with design proficiency
- Knowledge of PLC programming, Vision systems, Robotics, Hydraulic and Pneumatic troubleshooting (added advantage)
