- Key Responsibilities:

- 1. Technical Architecture & System Design

- Design scalable, modular, and maintainable Odoo system architectures.

- Plan database structures, module relationships, and workflow architecture.

- Define technical standards, design patterns, and best practices for Odoo development.

- Oversee deployment architecture including hosting, environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure scalability

- Establish reusable frameworks and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency and consistency.

- 2. Custom Development & Engineering Leadership

- Lead development of custom modules, features, and enhancements using Odoo framework(Python/ORM, XML, JavaScript).

- Review, refactor, and optimize existing customizations.

- Ensure alignment with Odoo Community and Enterprise coding guidelines.

- Guide developers by providing technical direction, mentorship, and hands-on support.

- Drive engineering excellence through code quality initiatives and technical governance

- 3. Code Review, Code Audit & Best Practices

- Conduct detailed code reviews, ensuring compliance with quality, security, and performance benchmarks

- Perform code audits for ongoing and legacy implementations and recommend optimization strategies.

- Establish development standards, review processes, and documentation practices.

- Identify technical debt and propose remediation plans.

- Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and enterprise architecture standards.

- 4. Integration & API Architecture

- Architect, design, and implement integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP,JSON, and XML.

- Develop and oversee API frameworks, connectors, and middleware integrations.

- Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient integration patterns.

- Design integration strategies for enterprise applications, marketplaces, payment gateways,CRM, ERP, HRMS, and external platforms.

- 5. Performance Optimization & Scalability

- Diagnose and resolve system performance issues including latency, load bottlenecks, and inefficient queries.

- Optimize SQL queries, PostgreSQL configurations, server resources, and Odoo modules for high performance.

- Plan scalability strategies for high-volume, multi-company, and multi-country environments.

- Conduct performance reviews and establish proactive monitoring mechanisms.

- 6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Project Managers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture blueprints.

- Participate in client discussions for technical scoping, solutioning, and feasibility assessments.

- Act as a trusted technical advisor for both internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Documentation

- Create and maintain Technical Design Documents (TDD), architecture diagrams, and data flow designs.

- Maintain versioning, deployment, infrastructure, and module documentation.

- Establish documentation standards and knowledge repositories for the Odoo practice.

- 8. Odoo Practice Ownership & Governance

- Own and drive the overall Odoo practice framework, standards, and technical governance across all engagements.

- Define and maintain the organization’s Odoo version strategy, upgrade roadmap, and platform adoption plans.

- Establish best practices, coding standards, reusable components, accelerators, and architectural guidelines.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technical capability development within the Odoo practice.

- 9. Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

- Support RFP/RFI responses by providing technical inputs, architecture recommendations, and implementation strategies.

- Participate in effort estimation, solution design workshops, discovery sessions, and client presentations.

- Prepare technical proposals, solution documents, statements of work, and implementation roadmaps.

- Collaborate with sales and solution consulting teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions.

- 10. Portfolio-Level Architecture Oversight

- Provide architecture governance across multiple active Odoo engagements rather than a single-project focus.

- Conduct architecture reviews, technical audits, and health assessments across projects.

- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for delivery teams on complex implementation, integration, and performance issues.

- Ensure consistency in architecture, security, scalability, and development standards across the Odoo portfolio.

- Required Skills & Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in Odoo technical development and architecture.

- Robust command of Python, Odoo ORM, XML, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.

- Experience with Odoo Enterprise and Community Editions.

- Strong knowledge of Odoo module development, customizations, migrations, and upgrades.

- Proven expertise in API integration (REST/SOAP) and third-party system connectivity.

- Hands-on experience with QWeb reports, controllers, security rules, and access rights.

- Experience in CI/CD, Git, Docker, DevOps pipelines, and automated deployment processes.





- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture patterns, and enterprise application design.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance.

- Functional Domain Expertise

- • Strong functional understanding of Manufacturing, Inventory/Warehouse Management, Accounting/Finance, HR, and Payroll modules. • Ability to align technical solutions with business processes and operational requirements. Security & Compliance Architecture • Expertise in Odoo security architecture including Record Rules, Access Rights, User Groups, and Access Control Matrix (ACM) design. • Experience implementing OAuth2 and secure authentication/authorization mechanisms. • Understanding of GDPR, data privacy, compliance, and governance requirements. Deployment & Infrastructure • Hands-on experience with Odoo.sh and enterprise-grade production deployment architecture. • Strong knowledge of Nginx, uWSGI, Supervisor configuration, load balancing, monitoring, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning. • Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available Odoo environments.
