Job Description

As a senior member of the IT team, you will lead technical design and implementation of Magento 2 extensions, integrations, and platform optimizations. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver customer-facing features and improve site stability and speed. This role emphasizes system design, performance tuning, and developer enablement—mentoring peers, defining coding standards, and improving CI/CD workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable Magento 2 architecture and custom modules
- Lead performance optimization: caching, indexing, database tuning, and front-end rendering
- Conduct and enforce code reviews, coding standards, and best practices
- Mentor and guide junior/mid-level developers; run knowledge-sharing sessions
- Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, ERP, PIM, shipping APIs)
- Work with DevOps to improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and rollback strategies




- Debug production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver corrective actions
- Write and maintain automated tests (unit/integration) and technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience

- 5-6 years of qualified experience building Magento 2 eCommerce applications
- Strong PHP7+/OOP, Magento 2 architecture, module and theme development
- Proven experience with performance optimization (Redis, Varnish, MySQL tuning, CDN)
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch or similar search engines and index management
- Solid knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and front-end optimization
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Linux-based deployments
- Demonstrated mentoring and code review experience with emphasis on code quality
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
