Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Trainee to support the Procurement Department in sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, maintaining purchase records, and ensuring the timely availability of construction materials and services. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn procurement processes within the infrastructure and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements (CS) for approval.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain records of purchase orders, invoices, quotations, and vendor documents.
- Coordinate with project sites, stores, accounts, and other departments regarding procurement requirements.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and update delivery status.
- Assist in vendor registration and vendor performance evaluation.
- Verify invoices and supporting documents before forwarding them to the Accounts Department.
- Maintain procurement reports, MIS, and documentation.




- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Support the Purchase Manager in day-to-day procurement activities and other assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineer (B.E or B. Tech in Civil), MBA in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of procurement and inventory management is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic understanding of ERP/Procurement software (preferred).
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current processes.
