- Production Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for CNC VMC, HMC, and VTL machines, based on customer demand and material availability.
- Capacity Planning & Utilization: Analyze machine capacity to balance workload and reduce bottlenecks, ensuring maximum machine runtime.
- Material Resource Planning (MRP):Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure availability of raw materials (castings, bar stock), cutting tools, and fixtures required for production.
- Shop Floor Control & Follow-up: Monitor real-time production status, track Work-in-Progress (WIP), and resolve issues or delays to meet deadlines.
- Performance Reporting to MD: Prepare daily/weekly reports on production targets (Plan vs. Actual), machine downtime, OEE, scrap rates, and efficiency, presenting actionable insights directly to the MD.
- Tooling & Process Improvement: Work on reducing setup times and cycle times by optimizing programs (G-code/M-code) and selecting proper cutting tools to increase productivity.
- Vendor/Subcontractor Management:Coordinate with external processors (e.g., heat treatment,



plating) to ensure timely receipt of components.
- ERP/SAP Management: Utilize ERP systems to create job orders, manage inventory levels, and maintain accurate production documentation.

Key Skills Required:

- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of CNC VMC machining, cutting tools, and reading engineering drawings/blueprints.
- ERP/Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills in data analysis for bottleneck identification and process improvements.
- Communication: Ability to directly report to senior management and coordinate between shop floor and procurement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
- Typically 4-7+ years of experience in CNC, VMC manufacturing, depending on the scale of the company.
