Field Sales Executive — Hyderabad

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana (field-based; travel across the city and nearby areas)

Follow The Tail is a Bengaluru-based premium dog treats brand. Our functional treats, biscuits, and training bites are vet formulated, made with human-grade ingredients, slow baked, lab tested, and free of maida, soy, added sugar, and artificial preservatives. We sell D2C through followthetail.store and through a growing network of pet stores, clinics, and events — and we are now expanding our retail presence in Hyderabad.

The Role

You will be our face in Hyderabad — opening current retail accounts (pet shops, vet clinics, groomers, boarding facilities), servicing existing ones, and representing the brand at pet events. You own the city: pipeline, relationships, orders, and market feedback.

Key Responsibilities

- New business: Identify, pitch, and onboard pet stores, veterinary clinics, grooming salons, and boarding centres as retail partners
- Account servicing: Visit accounts on a planned beat, take repeat orders, manage merchandising and shelf placement, and ensure stock freshness
- Targets: Meet monthly targets for new accounts, order value, and product-range penetration
- Events: Represent Follow The Tail at pet events, exhibitions, and adoption drives in and around Hyderabad
- Product advocacy: Educate store staff and vets on functional benefits (immunity, skin & coat, antioxidant) and lab-tested quality — our key differentiators




- Operations: Coordinate with HQ on dispatches, payments collection, and returns; maintain accurate records of visits and orders (CRM/WhatsApp reporting)
- Market intelligence: Report competitor activity, pricing, and retailer feedback to shape product and trade decisions

What We're Looking For

- 1–4 years of field sales experience; FMCG, pet care, or pharma channel sales is a strong plus
- Fluent in Telugu and Hindi; working English for reporting and HQ coordination
- Knows Hyderabad well and owns a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence
- Comfortable with target-driven work, daily field visits, and independent city-level ownership
- Basic smartphone skills — orders, payments, reporting via apps and WhatsApp
- Genuine love for dogs and comfort interacting with pets and pet parents

Nice to Have

- Existing relationships with pet trade retailers or vet clinics in Hyderabad
- Experience launching a brand in a new city or territory
