Indira Priyadarshini School, J. P. Nagar, 3rd Phase, is seeking Science Teachers (Grades 7 to 10) .

The right candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for teaching, and must see teaching as a long-term career.

Following skills and traits are REQUIRED:

- Energetic, self-driven, highly motivated individuals with high level of integrity and commitment.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching Science at the Middle and/or Secondary levels in reputed State Board or CBSE institutions.
- Strong knowledge of assessment strategies for differentiated instruction, and experience in designing and implementing tiered question papers / learning activities that support diverse student readiness and learning profiles.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and instructional technology to analyze student data, manage laboratory records, and develop interactive learning material.
- Well-versed in using software applications (Google Docs/Teams/Google Meet) and smart-boards.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Science/Physics from a reputed university is required.
- BEd (Science) is desired.
- Minimum one year of teaching experience in a CBSE, ICSE, State Board, or equivalent school is required.
- Fresh graduates (Master's only) with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for teaching may also apply.

(Retired teachers with excellent subject knowledge can also apply, and will be considered for part-time positions based on role-interest and fitness).

Responsibilities:

Day to Day academic responsibilities for Middle and Secondary Grades (7th up to 10th standard)

Additional Responsibilities include:





- Prepare and implement detailed lesson plans aligned with IPS curriculum standards, incorporating differentiated instruction, inquiry-based learning, and opportunities for critical thinking.
- Design and implement tiered assessments and examinations that accurately measure core competencies while accommodating diverse student readiness and learning profiles.
- Incorporate cutting-edge and learner-centred teaching techniques to promote student engagement and performance.
- Design and implement enrichment/augmentation/remediation lessons based on student performance and learning profiles.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning through homework, classwork, projects/activities, quizzes and unit tests, and examinations, while providing timely and remedial feedback.
- Prepare students for school/Board examinations (where applicable), while encouraging participation in science fairs, Olympiads, and other academic competitions.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
- Conduct laboratory activities safely and effectively for middle and high school, ensuring adherence to all laboratory safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve lesson plans, instructional resources, and assessment practices.
- School-level initiatives as assigned.
