Job Description:Accountant – Purchase & Recovery AccountsJob Title: Accountant – Purchase & Recovery AccountsDepartment: Finance & Accounts.Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage purchase accounting, vendor accounting, and all recovery-related accounting activities. The candidate will be responsible for accurate purchase entries, supplier reconciliations, debit recoveries, deductions, and maintaining proper accounting records related to procurement and recoveries.Key Responsibilities:Purchase Accounting:Pass and verify all purchase entries in the accounting system.Maintain accurate records of purchase invoices, GRNs, and vendor bills.Ensure proper accounting of GST, TDS, freight, and other purchase-related expenses.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Coordinate with the purchase and stores departments for invoice verification.Monitor pending invoices and ensure timely accounting entries.Maintain proper documentation and filing of purchase records.Recovery & Accounts Management:Handle all recovery-related accounting entries and reconciliations.Track debit notes, deductions, advances, penalties,



and supplier recoveries.Monitor outstanding recoverable balances from vendors/customers/employees.Follow up for pending recoveries and maintain recovery schedules.Reconcile recovery accounts periodically and ensure closure of old balances.Prepare recovery reports and MIS for management review.Assist in audit requirements related to purchase and recovery accounts.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.3+ years of accounting experience in purchase and recovery accounting.Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and vendor accounting processes.Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.Robust reconciliation and analytical skills.Good communication and coordination abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in accounting.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in real estate is preferred.Knowledge of internal controls and audit processes.Key Competencies:.
