- Dispensing & Compounding: Interpret prescriptions, verify dosages, and prepare pharmaceuticals according to prescriber instructions.
- Patient Counseling: Instruct patients on how to take their medications safely, explain potential side effects, and suggest over-the-counter remedies.
- Medication Safety: Review patient histories to prevent adverse drug reactions and check for therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Clinical Care: Administer immunizations (such as flu shots) and perform basic wellness screenings like blood pressure checks.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain pharmacy stock, safely handle controlled substances, and dispose of expired medications.
