Job Title: Accounts Consultant

Location: On-site at Kochi, Kerala
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 2-4 years in accounting

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Deliverables

- Prepare and finalize accounting records, reconciliations, MIS, and financial reports for assigned clients.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare client financial summaries, forecasts, budgets, and dashboards.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all accounting deliverables.
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation as per client requirements.
- Review accounting outputs for technical correctness and completeness.
- Ensure adherence to client-specific SOPs and accounting standards.

2. Compliance, Taxation & Reporting

- Prepare monthly client management reports for review and reporting purposes.
- Preparation, reporting, performance, and filing of compliance-related works.
- Preparation and filing of GST returns and related reconciliations.
- Preparation and filing of TDS returns and ensuring timely deduction and compliance with TDS regulations.
- Monitor GST and TDS compliance deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
- Ensure adherence to compliance calendars and regulatory deadlines.
- Maintain proper records, filing, and documentation of compliance work performed.
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory filings and compliance submissions as per timelines.

3. Review & Quality Control

- Conduct quality checks on accounting and compliance deliverables before submission.
- Identify recurring errors and support corrective actions.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance adherence across client reports and filings.




- Ensure adherence to client-specific SOPs, accounting standards, and compliance calendars.

4. Client Coordination & Relationship Handling

- Oversee client onboarding, documentation, and initial setup procedures.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through timely communication, trust-building, and responsiveness.
- Handle client communication related to accounting clarifications, data gaps, and compliance follow-ups.
- Attend client review meetings, training sessions, and business discussions, representing the firm professionally.
- Attend client meetings where required and document key action points.
- Manage escalations effectively and ensure prompt resolution of client issues.
- Maintain professional client relationships through reliable delivery.
- Ensure weekly/monthly updates are accurate and aligned with actual work progress.

5. Research, Process Improvement & Revenue Protection

- Stay updated with new accounting, compliance, and tax provisions.
- Conduct research on client-specific requirements and regulatory changes and translate them into actionable insights.
- Identify process inefficiencies, repeat errors, or compliance risks and suggest improvements.
- Contribute to internal checklists, accounting templates, and SOP refinements.
- Support revenue protection by reducing rework, penalties,



interest, and client dissatisfaction.
- Assist Consultants with technical inputs for proposals or scope clarifications when required.

6. Travel & Flexibility

- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
- Adaptable to client requirements and dynamic work environments.

Skills & Competencies RequiredAccounting, Taxation & Analytical Skills

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in GST return preparation, filing, and reconciliation.
- Experience in TDS deduction, return filing, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems preferred).
- Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.

Communication & Client Management

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong client-facing skills with a professional demeanor.

Adaptability & Initiative

- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Versatile and proactive in handling multiple tasks and deadlines.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Commerce or Finance

Experience

- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS filing, ERP/accounting software, and statutory compliance.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to travel for client assignments.
- Long-term commitment to the Kochi (Edapally) office.
- Passion for accounting, client service, and continuous professional growth.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
