Position Overview

Ralph Lauren India is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Analyst to support direct and indirect tax operations across India and Bangladesh. The role will be responsible for managing routine tax compliances, supporting transfer pricing documentation, assisting in tax assessments/scrutiny matters, and partnering closely with external consultants and internal stakeholders. The position will also support SEZ unit regulatory and tax compliances applicable to shared services operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Direct Tax – India & Bangladesh

Support timely preparation, review, and filing of corporate income tax returns and advance tax computations.

Manage TDS/TCS compliances including deduction/collection accuracy, deposit of taxes,



quarterly return filings, lower/nil deduction certificates, and issuance of certificates.

Reconcile TDS/TCS ledgers with books of accounts and ensure timely resolution of mismatches.

Assist in tax provisioning, deferred tax workings, and quarterly/year-end tax reporting.

Maintain tax balances, schedules, and documentation for audits.

Track changes in direct tax laws and assess business impact.

Coordinate with consultants for tax filings, opinions, and advisory matters.

Indirect Tax – India & Bangladesh

Manage GST/VAT compliances including return preparation, input tax credit reconciliations, and payment tracking.

Support tax invoicing compliance and review vendor/customer tax documentation.

Handle monthly reconciliations between ERP, books, and tax returns.

Coordinate with consultants on indirect tax registrations, renewals, and notices.

Prepare tax working papers for monthly GST return filings, TDS remittances, and SAP reconciliations.

Support exposure to North America sales and use tax.

Transfer Pricing

Support preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions.

Assist in benchmarking studies, FAR analysis, and data collation for TP reports.

Coordinate with global tax teams and consultants for transfer pricing compliance.

Monitor intercompany invoicing and ensure adherence to TP policies.

Tax Assessments / Scrutiny / Summons

Prepare data, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for tax scrutiny, notices, audits, and summons.





Draft initial responses and coordinate with consultants/legal teams for submissions.

Maintain tracker of ongoing tax litigations, notices, and closure actions.

SEZ Unit Compliance

Support regular compliances for SEZ operations including SOFTEX, LUT/Bond, annual performance reporting, and other regulatory filings.

Coordinate with SEZ authorities, customs consultants, and internal teams for documentation and approvals.

Handle DTA/DTS filings for SEZ operations

Ensure benefits/exemptions applicable to SEZ unit are tracked and availed appropriately.

Stakeholder Management & Process Improvement

Demonstrate readiness to upskill in AI tools and adapt to process improvements that streamline recurring and repetitive tasks.

Work closely with finance, controllership, AP, AR, payroll, and business teams to ensure tax compliance.

Partner with external consultants for timely submissions and advisory support.

Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement in tax processes.

Maintain robust documentation and internal controls for audit readiness.

Preferred Competencies - Responsible for DTA/ DTS filings for SEZ operations

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

Proficient knowledge of India Income Tax Act, GST, India TDS rules, and related compliances.

Fair understanding of Bangladesh tax laws.

Qualified CA or International Tax certification with 2-6 years work experience in Tax domain

Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to analyze large and complex data sets.

Collaborative culture mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external consultants.

Positive “can-do” attitude and ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

Valuable verbal and written communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
