Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Production Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience to lead shop-floor operations at our specialized fabrication yard. In this role, you will oversee the complete production cycle of non-metallic and composite process hardware, including FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic), RTR (Reinforced Thermosetting Resin), and Polymer-Lined pressure vessels, distillation columns, and industrial valves. The ideal candidate possesses a deep mechanical aptitude, reads complex engineering blueprints with flawless accuracy, and confidently directs shop-floor technicians to meet rigorous quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Yard Fabrication: Supervise day-to-day fabrication, molding, filament winding, contact molding (hand lay-up), and curing processes for FRP/RTR equipment and polymer linings (e.g., PTFE, PVDF, PP, FRVE).
- Interpret Technical Layouts: Read, analyze, and execute production exactly according to 2D fabrication drawings, isometric blueprints, laminating sequences, and structural engineering designs.
- Manage Shop-Floor Teams: Delegate daily work assignments to fabricators, laminators, welders, and fitters, keeping production schedules strictly on track.
- Ensure Process Quality: Enforce exact resin-to-glass ratios, correct catalyst percentages,



proper surface preparation for lining, and spark-testing procedures for polymer liners to prevent defects like delamination or pinholes. [
- Optimize Material Workflows: Monitor material consumption (resins, glass fiber mats, chemical liners) and prepare Material Take-offs (MTO) to minimize structural waste.
- Coordinate Technical Checks: Work directly with the Quality Control (QC) team during hydrostatic, pneumatic, and barcol hardness testing phases.
- Maintain HSE Compliance: Enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental standards regarding chemical handling, vapor ventilation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) on the yard floor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Education: Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Chemical, or Polymer/Plastics Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of direct production supervision inside a fabrication yard specializing in composites (FRP/RTR) or chemical-resistant polymer linings.
- Blueprint Literacy: Exceptional capability to read and translate industrial fabrication drawings, assembly designs, and material specifications into physical builds.
- Equipment Domain Knowledge: Direct experience manufacturing corrosion-resistant static equipment like industrial vessels, process towers, columns, and lined valve bodies.
- Leadership Traits: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and handle a diverse workforce of skilled technicians and contractors under tight project delivery deadlines.
