About the Role

Naxose Hypermarkets is seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Officer to join our procurement team at the Corporate Office in Ernakulam / Thrissur. This role is critical in managing product assortment, sourcing, and vendor relationships to drive sales, margins, and availability across our hypermarket stores.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end category planning and buying for assigned product categories
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve optimal costs and margins
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer demand to optimize product assortment
- Monitor stock levels, sales performance, and inventory turnover across stores
- Collaborate with store operations, marketing, and finance teams for effective category management
- Track and report on key category metrics including sales, margins, and fill rates
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement processes

Requirements





- 3–8 years of experience as Category Buyer / Purchase Executive in hypermarket, supermarket, or retail chain
- Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to secure favorable terms with vendors
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, and market research
- Good understanding of retail buying, product lifecycle, and category management principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or related field)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹58,000.00 per month
