FMCG BUYER

Location: Head Office, Nadakkavu, Kozhikode

Job Summary

Daymart Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented FMCG Buyer to support the procurement and purchasing operations for our supermarket and hypermarket network. The ideal candidate will assist in product sourcing, vendor coordination, inventory planning, and purchase order management to ensure the timely availability of products across all branches.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in purchasing and procurement activities for all Daymart stores.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and payment follow-ups.
- Prepare and process purchase orders based on business requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Compare supplier quotations and assist in price negotiations.
- Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with store teams regarding stock requirements and shortages.
- Track market trends, product availability, and pricing.
- Assist in vendor management and supplier performance evaluation.
- Support cost-control initiatives and procurement planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of Buying,



or Purchasing experience in Retail, Supermarket, Hypermarket, FMCG, or Wholesale Operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor coordination skills.
- Good understanding of inventory management and purchasing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
