Education

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in CSSD/Sterile Processing preferred.
- Additional management qualification is an advantage.

Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in Central Sterile Services or Sterile Processing.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in a hospital, preferably with operating theatres and specialty surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the CSSD department.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical devices.
- Maintain compliance with national and international sterilization standards.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate CSSD staff.
- Coordinate with Operating Room, Infection Control, Biomedical Engineering,



and Nursing departments.
- Monitor sterilization equipment performance and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and infection control compliance.
- Manage inventory of surgical instruments, consumables, and sterile supplies.
- Prepare for accreditation inspections and regulatory audits.
- Investigate incidents related to sterilization failures and implement corrective actions.
