- Culinary background and previous experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or any related certification
- Licensure from a certifying agency
- Experience in menu planning, development and costing
- Proven skill in kitchen administration
- Good organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team in a busy setting, and adhere to the highest standards
- Strong leadership skills in the management and development of the kitchen team
- Compliance with all HACCP and hygiene requirements by the kitchen staff
- Hire, train and manage staff about proper kitchen sanitisation methods
