Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Mumbai Department: Manufacturing & Operations Reports to: CEO

Job Summary

Kadmoda is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to lead our garment manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the apparel supply chain—from fabric cutting and sewing to finishing and packaging. You will be responsible for scaling our production capacity, maintaining high-quality standards for diverse textile lines, and ensuring that our seasonal collections are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning: Oversee the end-to-end production cycle, including cutting, stitching, embroidery/printing, and finishing. Ensure production timelines align with procurement and sales forecasts.
- Capacity & Efficiency: Optimize factory floor layouts and workforce allocation to maximize garment output while minimizing fabric waste.
- Technical Quality Control: Implement stringent quality checks at every stage (in-line inspection, end-of-line auditing) to ensure conformance to garment specifications, sizing accuracy, and stitch quality.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the production facility adheres to local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry-specific certifications (e.g., ISO, BSCI, or SEDEX standards).
- Maintenance: Manage the preventive maintenance schedule for sewing machines, overlock machines, and steam pressing units to prevent unplanned downtime.




- Team Development: Lead, train, and supervise floor supervisors, machine operators, and quality controllers to foster a high-performance culture.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in the garment/apparel manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Industry Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of various fabric types, garment construction techniques, and production machinery.
- Proven experience in managing high-volume production runs and seasonal shifts.
- Proficiency in excel/ production planning software or ERP systems tailored for the textile industry.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional ability to troubleshoot production bottlenecks on the fly.
- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with outsourced labor or raw material vendors.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and secure workplace.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
