Job Title: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing
Location: SMV Super Speciality Hospital, Puducherry
Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-Charge

Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct, high-quality patient care, monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments as prescribed, and supporting the medical team in delivering safe and effective healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on physician orders and nursing protocols
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as prescribed
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and rounds
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
- Ensure infection control practices and hygiene standards are strictly followed
- Educate patients and family members on post-treatment care and medication
- Coordinate with other departments for diagnostic tests, referrals, and patient transfers




- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first-line critical care when required
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of equipment in the ward
- Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications:

- B.Sc Nursing / GNM / ANM from a recognized institution
- Valid Nursing Council Registration (State/Central)

Experience:

- Freshers welcome; 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred

Skills Required:

- Strong clinical and patient-care skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
- Emotional resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Basic computer skills for patient record management

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
