Job Description – Senior Front-End Engineer (React.js)

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Senior Front-End Engineer to build modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications for a global eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Next.js, and cloud-native application development, with experience leading engineering teams and building responsive user interfaces that serve millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain up-to-date, responsive web applications using React.js and Next.js.
- Build reusable, scalable, and high-performance UI components using modern design systems.
- Develop and optimize Progressive Web Applications (PWA) with a focus on performance, scalability, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Develop and maintain RESTful API and GraphQL integrations.
- Implement unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Optimize application performance, debugging, and front-end architecture.
- Follow Agile development practices and participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Mentor junior developers and establish front-end development best practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices for application deployment.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of experience in Front-End Development.
- Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with Next.js.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL.




- Experience with Redux, state management, and component-based architecture.
- Hands-on experience with React Testing Library, Jest, and unit testing.
- Experience with Storybook and component-driven development.
- Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and performance optimization.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Material UI (MUI v5).
- Experience with Figma, Storybook, and design systems.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with MongoDB, SQL, or GraphQL queries.
- Familiarity with Redis, MemoryStore, or similar caching technologies.
- Experience in Retail or eCommerce applications.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards such as SOX, PCI-DSS, PII, HIPAA, and CCPA.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience leading distributed engineering teams across multiple locations.
