Supply and Demand Planner

Role Purpose

The Supply and Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring the smooth alignment between supply and demand. This role combines demand forecasting and inventory planning to optimize product availability while minimizing excess stock and operational costs.

Organization

- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business objectives. Utilize statistical modeling, demand software (SAP IBP), and collaboration with sales and marketing teams to refine forecasts.
- Continuously adjust demand forecasts based on sales plan, market shifts, promotions, new product launches, and customer insights.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by managing stock levels and reordering strategies together with Central Supply Planning.
- Minimize stockouts, overstocks, and obsolete inventory through effective planning.
- Act as the primary interface between the sales, marketing and supply chain teams to ensure alignment. Procure and Source local items like Pack material, Intermediates, Services, Finished Products
- Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.

- Participate in Demand review meetings to align demand with supply chain capacities.
- Develop supply plans to ensure product availability meets demand while optimizing inventory levels.
- Prepare regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and improve demand planning process and implement best practices
- Reconciliation with FG Vendors and Clearance of Invoices.

- BBA/ B. Com with SCM specialization OR BE/ B.Tech in Industrial/Production Engineering OR MBA/PGDM in SCM/Operations.
- Recognized Diploma or certifications in Supply Chain Management from reputed institutes (IIM, IIT, CII) may also be considered, provided they have 5+ years’ experience in supply chain planning function.
- Professional certifications in SCM or ERP tools (SAP, IBP) are a plus.
- 2+ years in demand/supply planning in FMCG or B2C manufacturing OR 3+ years in broader SCM roles.

- Knowledge of all relevant ERP and Planning systems (SAP, IBP, BI).
- Excel mastery; Good user knowledge in all other MS-Office tools
- Basic financial and commercial knowledge
- Good statistical, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
- Basic Negotiation skills
- Very good English skills
