Job Summary

The Inward Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying all incoming raw materials, bought-out parts, and components to ensure they meet the company's quality standards, engineering drawings, and customer requirements before being accepted into production.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and purchased parts as per quality standards and inspection plans.
- Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Screw Gauge, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Verify material certificates, test reports, and supplier documents.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, and Suppliers regarding quality issues.
- Raise rejection reports (NCR) and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure proper identification, traceability, and storage status of inspected materials.
- Follow ISO standards, quality procedures,



and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Inward Quality Inspection procedures.
- Proficiency in using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Screw Gauge, Height Gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; basics.
- Knowledge of quality documentation and inspection reports.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- MS Excel and basic computer knowledge.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical/Production) or Equivalent

Experience

- 1 to 5 Years in Inward Quality Inspection in a manufacturing or automotive industry.
