Educational Qualifications

- Minimum: Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering OR B.Sc. in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry.
- Preferred: B.E. / B. Tech in Chemical Engineering.

Work Experience

- 2 to 5 years of hands-on operational experience in a mechanical salt washery plant or chemical beneficiation facility.

Job Purpose

The Washery Production Executive is responsible for overseeing the mechanical processing, washing, and purification of raw solar salt harvested from the brine fields. The primary objective is to manage the daily operation of the salt washery plant to remove soluble and insoluble impurities (calcium, magnesium, sulphate, and insoluble), producing high-purity Industrial Salt (Sodium Chloride) that complies with stringent global export specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Throughput Optimization

- Process Supervision: Manage the continuous, shift-wise operations of the salt washery plant, including feeding hoppers, classifiers, metallic belt and belt conveyors.
- Throughput Targets: Achieve daily and monthly production targets for washed industrial salt while maintaining optimum plant capacity utilization.
- Wash-Water Management: Monitor and regulate the flow, density, and recycling of brine/wash-water inside the washery circuits to optimize water consumption and minimize salt loss.

2. Quality Control & Specification Compliance

- Impurity Reduction: Control the processing parameters to systematically reduce impurities to meet strict international buyer specifications.
- Moisture & Particle Control: Oversee the centrifuging and dewatering processes to achieve the targeted moisture percentages
- Sampling Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Quality Control (QC)

3. Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance

- Mechanical Vigilance: Conduct routine checks on heavy processing equipment, including screw classifiers, metallic belt, slurry pumps, and belt conveyors.
- Preventive Maintenance: Coordinate with the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams during scheduled shutdowns to minimize breakdown times and prevent scale buildup in the washing circuits.

4. Inventory, Logistics & Safety

- Stockpile Management: Supervise the systematic stacking of processed salt in the stockyards to allow natural drainage and facilitate smooth loading for transport to ports.
- EHS Adherence: Enforce company Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies. Ensure clean housekeeping within the washery and the safe operation of material handling equipment by contract labour.

5. Shift Reporting & Documentation

- Operational Logs: Document hourly plant parameters, energy consumption, equipment downtime logs, and water utilization data.
- ERP Inputs: Update shift production yields, inventory utilization, and material transfers accurately within the company's ERP (SAP) system.

Key Skills & Technical Competencies

- Clear understanding of mass balances, counter-current washing concepts, and solid-liquid separation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical blockages, conveyor alignments, and pump cavitation issues within a wet chemical setting.
- Familiarity with automated process control systems (SCADA / PLC panels) is an advantage.
- Ability to lead, train, and manage a shift workforce comprising operators and contract workers.

Physical & General Requirements

- Industrial Environment: Comfort working in a high-humidity, saline, and dust-heavy plant environment.
- Shift Flexibility: Readiness to work in rotating shifts (including night shifts) to ensure round-the-clock plant operations.
- Language: Proficiency in Hindi and local Gujarati to communicate effectively with the on-site workforce

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
