Job Description – Store Assistant

Reporting To: Store In-Charge / Purchase Manager
Location: Kaman, Vasai East

Job Summary

The Store Assistant is responsible for assisting in day-to-day store operations including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of raw materials, components, tools, and finished goods. The role ensures proper documentation, stock accuracy, and adherence to company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality, and documentation (GRN, challans, invoices).
- Properly store materials as per identification, FIFO/FEFO, and safety guidelines.
- Issue materials to production, fabrication, and assembly departments against authorized requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock records in manual registers and/or ERP systems.
- Assist in periodic stock verification and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with purchase, production, and QC departments for material availability.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store area.
- Handle inward and outward movement of materials.
- Maintain records for rejected, returned, and scrap materials.




- Support audits by maintaining proper documentation and traceability.
- Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety norms.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Minimum HSC / Diploma / Graduate (preferred).
- Experience: 1–3 years in stores or inventory handling (manufacturing industry preferred).
- Knowledge of inventory control, basic stores documentation, and material handling.
- Familiarity with ERP/software and MS Excel is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of FIFO, stock valuation, and safety practices.

Working Conditions

- Factory / workshop environment.
- May require lifting materials and standing for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
