Job Summary

Konnak Engineering Private Limited is seeking an experienced Procurement & Expediting Engineer to manage procurement, expediting, material control, logistics, and supplier coordination for an industrial EPC project. The successful candidate will ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment while maintaining project quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute procurement activities in line with project schedules.
- Prepare RFQs, commercial bid evaluations, purchase recommendations, and purchase orders.
- Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely release of Material Requisitions (MRs).
- Expedite engineering deliverables, manufacturing, inspections, testing, and deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and prepare procurement and expediting status reports.
- Coordinate inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and shipment releases.
- Manage logistics, transportation, customs clearance, and delivery to site.
- Track long-lead items and proactively resolve potential delays.
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Maintain procurement documentation and supplier records.
- Manage Material Control activities, including:
- Material Receiving Reports (MRR)
- Material Inspection Reports (MIR)
- Inventory management
- Warehouse coordination
- Material issue and return
- Material reconciliation and surplus management




- Ensure accurate material tracking from purchase order to final installation.
- Develop and maintain procurement, expediting, and material control dashboards.
- Ensure procurement complies with project quality requirements, specifications, and company procedures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, expediting, and material control for industrial EPC projects.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power, Renewable Energy, or Process Plants is preferred.
