Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Physician to lead clinical operations
on our Mobile Medical Unit for TB screening. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
conducting patient consultations, clinical examinations, and TB symptom screening in
community settings, organizing and leading health awareness camps on TB prevention and
treatment, supervising diagnostic procedures and ensuring quality of screening processes,
maintaining accurate medical records and case documentation as per RNTCP guidelines, and
coordinating referrals for confirmed or presumptive TB cases to designated treatment centers.
This role requires robust commitment to public health, community engagement skills, and the
ability to work effectively in field-based mobile healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct patient consultations and systematic TB symptom screening on the Mobile
Medical Unit; provide primary healthcare services and appropriate referrals
● Supervise diagnostic procedures, interpret test results from AI-based equipment, and
determine clinical management for TB cases
● Organize and lead TB awareness camps and health education sessions in communities,
focusing on early detection, treatment adherence, and stigma reduction
● Maintain comprehensive medical records and case documentation as per RNTCP
guidelines, prepare monthly reports and case studies for Foundation submission.
● Coordinate referrals of confirmed/presumptive TB cases to PHCs and district TB
centers; ensure treatment linkage and follow-up
● Build community trust, promote health-seeking behavior, and strengthen TB screening
accessibility in underserved populations
● Ensure compliance with RNTCP protocols, infection control standards, and program
quality benchmarks
● Handle all data entry and MIS related to the role.
Qualifications:
● MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution
● Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or respective State
Medical Council
● Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience; experience in TB/RNTCP programs, rural
healthcare, or public health initiatives strongly preferred
● Knowledge of RNTCP guidelines, TB diagnostics, and treatment protocols is an
advantage
● Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with ability to conduct symptom-based TB
screening.
● Excellent communication and community engagement abilities to work effectively
with diverse populations
● Previous experience in mobile health units or community-based health programs
desirable
● Willingness to travel extensively and work in field locations across project areas
Skills and Competencies:
● Ability to work independently in field settings and collaborate effectively with
multidisciplinary teams including lab technicians, counselors, and community
mobilizers
● Strong clinical judgment in TB case identification and appropriate referral
decision-making
● Passion for community health with commitment to improving TB detection and
treatment access in underserved populations
● Proficiency in maintaining medical records, digital health systems, and preparing case
documentation
● Cultural sensitivity and ability to address stigma related to TB in community settings
● Organizational skills to manage mobile clinic operations, awareness camps, and
coordination with health authorities
● Adaptability to work in resource-constrained environments with commitment to
quality healthcare delivery
Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
