Job Description: Junior Accountant

Location: Chandigarh (CCR)

Company Overview: Theater is a dynamic and rapidly growing fashion start-up based in India. Our mission is to create India’s best design-led, mass-premium western fashion company. At present, Theater specializes in footwear, handbags, fragrances, and stockings for women.

Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, GST-related activities, and financial record management. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Record day-to-day accounting entries (purchases, sales, expenses, bank/cash transactions) in Zoho Books.

- Assist in reconciling marketplace settlements (Myntra, Amazon, AJIO, Flipkart, Nykaa) against sales and payouts.

- Support vendor bill booking, ensuring GRN-date recording and matching with purchase orders for accurate ITC compliance.

- Assist with bank reconciliation and petty cash management.





- Help maintain the purchase and sales registers and support monthly GSTR-1/GSTR-3B data compilation.

- Support the senior finance team during month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, debit/credit notes, and supporting vouchers.

Requirements

- B. Com / M. Com or equivalent degree in Commerce/Accounting/ CA/CMA (Inter)

- 0–1 year of relevant experience; freshers with robust fundamentals are welcome to apply.

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and GST concepts.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with Zoho Books or Tally is an advantage.

- Good attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
