Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

 Ensure compliance with applicable statutory safety regulations

including the Factories Act and Gujarat Factory Rules.

 Maintain EHS records, statutory registers, permits, and licenses.

 Support statutory inspections and regulatory audits.

 Ensure timely submission of safety-related reports.

2. Process Safety Monitoring

 Conduct routine plant safety inspections.

 Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

 Support HIRA, JSA and risk assessment activities.

 Ensure safe handling, storage and transfer of chemicals and

solvents.

 Monitor compliance with safety SOPs and work instructions.

3. Fire & Industrial Safety

 Inspect firefighting equipment, hydrant systems and emergency

exits.

 Monitor fire safety compliance across production areas.

 Coordinate fire mock drills.

 Ensure availability and proper use of firefighting equipment.

 Support fire prevention activities.

4. Incident Investigation

 Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.

 Participate in incident investigations.

 Assist in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.

 Maintain incident records and safety statistics.

 Follow up on corrective actions.

5. Safety Training & Awareness





 Conduct induction safety training for recent employees and

contractors.

 Organize Toolbox Talks and safety awareness campaigns.

 Train employees on PPE usage, chemical handling, confined space

entry and emergency response.

 Promote safe work practices across departments.

6. Emergency Preparedness

 Assist in implementation of On-Site Emergency Plan.

 Participate in emergency response during fire, chemical spill and

gas leak situations.

 Coordinate emergency mock drills.

 Ensure emergency equipment remains operational.

7. Safety Audits & Inspection

 Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections.

 Participate in internal EHS audits.

 Support GMP, customer and statutory audits.

 Track audit observations and ensure timely closure.

8. Contractor Safety Management

 Monitor contractor safety compliance.

 Verify Permit-to-Work (Hot Work, Height Work, Confined Space,

Line Breaking etc.).

 Ensure contractors use required PPE.

 Monitor maintenance shutdown safety activities.

Qualification and

Experiences

Education

 B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry)

 OR Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical / Mechanical)

 Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (Preferred)

Experience

 Officer: 2–5 years

 Executive: 4–8 years

Experience in API, Pharma, Chemical, Agro-Chemical, Pesticide, Fertiliser

manufacturing is preferred.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
